- It's all about context!
Use the techniques you'll see in these videos as starting points, try to understand the "why" behind the moves, listen carefully and apply them in a way that works in the context of your song. - Absolutely watch both sessions start to finish!
Even if the one you started with feels challenging, or in case there's something you don't quite like about the content or the presentation.
Yes, the two walkthroughs are very different and so are some of the approaches. But they all lead to the desired outcome and they are all incredibly valuable and insightful if you stay open and pay attention. There is no right or wrong. Every mixer does things differently. Don't get confused but instead try to see the value in having different solutions for a similar problem at your disposal.
The people who made the most progress and grew their skills the most, after going through this material, are the ones who finished both walkthroughs, watched it all with an open mind, asked questions and then took action and applied what they learned.
